If you have an iphone and wondering how to get MP3’sMp3 reviews as ringtones follow this guide!

In iTunes 7.4 the workaround involves simply duplicating the AAC (MP4) track you want to use as a ringtone and setting your own start/ finish points in the track (use ‘Get Info’ in iTunes), then changing the file extension from M4A to M4R. Upon realising what was going on, Apple quickly released iTunes 7.4.1 which there is also a work around for 7.4.1

note for this you need itunes version 7.4 or 7.4.1

HUNT FOR THE PERFECT BED!

I went into a Benson For Beds store today, just for a look around, well the guy i work with went in to help out with there printer, as they know we work in IT. Anyways i saw these beds Kingsdown beds and i took one look at the price and thought f**k that, but to cut along story short the girls performed a computerised body profile on me, basically putting my weight, height, listing if i wake up in a morning with any aches etc…and then you lie on this kinda bed that well to be honest have no idea what it did to me, and you get a print out detailing which is the perfect Kingsdown bed for you. Lets just say there not cheap!! £2000 is the cheapest i saw in the shop, but they are really worth every penny! I must have been laid on the bed for a good 30minutes, and i could have really fell asleep! I just need to convince my wife to go out and let me buy one! I told the girls in the shop i would take her in on saturday to try them out and so she can have body profile taken. I would highly recommend them!

Go into your local Benson for Beds store and get it tried out! You will be supprised! The first thing i thought was “how can a bed be worth that much!” but when you lie on the right kind of bed for you! Your opinion will soon change!

So hopefully after the weekend i may have ordered a new bed, well if i get my way but i pretty much doubt it! haha

YesterdayYesterday reviews i decided i was going to buy an iphone. I know there not cheap and probably well over priced on ebay but that didnt stop me. The iphone i have bought is unlocked to any network with the latest firmware 1.1.3

It should be getting delivered tomorrow if all goes well, I have been wanting one of these phone since the very day i found out they were upcoming.

Been reading some mixed reviews about them, but i like to make my own mind up. Just like when i bought my N95 the day it was released.

Currently read this morning that you cant MMS from the iphone? but there is away around it by sending it as an email using the phone number and then some other bits after eg @rhodzy.co.uk (but obviously its going to be something like @tmobile.com)

I will put a post up tomorrow after i recieve my iphone and let you know what i really think of it!

Over the next few days i will be spending abit of time getting my SWANN MAX-IP-CAM working again, and also showing live images on rhodzy.co.uk Im not sure how i will find this to do but i am going to give it my best shot. I failed badly last time and ended up unplugging my camera and throwing it at the back of my cupboard.

This time i am going to keep going until i get what i want.

I think the hardest thing for me is going to get it integrated onto this site!

Recently i have had 3 computers die on me in 1 week. Not sure what happened on two of them, but on my download/dvdwriting box the power supply blew. I have changed the power supply and still having trouble, cant really be bothered to sort it out at the minute, so it will have to wait

On my main computer i have just re-installed because i kept getting a windows vista error and to be honest i wanted to go back to XP. I have customized my XP desktop and just thought i would show you what i have done. I’m going to do some more work to it, but for now i think its pretty minimal and looks good.

BE Broadband — over the past few weeks i have been working myself up with the speed of the internet i was told i could recieve. Well to cut things short, i was told by BT, SkySky reviews, BE, Virgin Media and also ADSL speed checkers on the internet that i could only recieve half a meg! I wound my self off the clock and pulling my hair out to try and find a faster provider, but because i am 6.5KM away from the exchange and wasnt in a Virgin Media “Cabled Area” that was what i was going to put up with! So i decided to go with BE, i had kinda a brain wave and thought with them pumping out “ADSL2″ speeds maybe, just maybe i might get something faster than half meg. I was correct i connected at a wopping…….2MB! I thought to myself better than half, but no….that still wasnt good enough for me, i wanted at least 9MB.

After reading on some of the forums, something hit me, i realised i had my sky+ box and sky box (normal) plugged into the phone line, and realised i didnt have ADSL filters on them. So changed that and straight away my router rebooted and i got 7MB. GreatGreat reviews stuff i was nearly at my 9MB target!

After abit more research i came across a program called “DMT Tool” its kinda complicated to use, but i got there eventually.

Basically this is what it does…

SNR

1. SignalSignal reviews-to-noise ratio is an engineering term for the power ratio between a signal (meaningful information) and the background noise.

2. When your modem attempts to negotiate ADSL it looks at the line and basically sees attenuation and noise put together. Attenuation gradually increases as frequency increases and noise is a random pattern of low level interference in the background.It’s very similar to a conversation at a party and it’s dealt with in the same way; we naturally account for both distance from the other person and the amount of background noise. When we do we don’t just talk loud enough to be heard, we speak a bit louder waiting for the idiot with the stupid, loud laugh to start up again. We add a bit extra on to make sure we’re louder than the average change in background noise. This is a SNR margin.

3. The SpeedTouch 5×6 products are ADSL2+ replacements for the SpeedTouch 510E, 536 and 510 switch models.

The 516v6 uses the Broadcom chipset, BCM6338 which is the cheaper, more integrated version of the BCM6348.

4. A nice bit of software (from Germany) that allows you to tweak and monitor certain models of Speedtouch routers (516 536 546 585 608 706 716 780).

Although this software is in German it can be switched to English via ‘Extras>weitere Einstellungen’ (SpecialSpecial reviews>Misc. Options) and then initiating a program restart OR it will automatically switch to English if it detects a Annex A connection.

After tweeking with the line i am now connecting at “9498Kbs” so great i recieved my 9MB target! i know BE can provide 24MB, so 9MB to me still isnt good enough!

I will be messing about with the “DMTDMT reviews tool” more and more until i cant go no further!
