Updated iPhone Stuff Page’s
It’s been along time and almost forgotten about but the iPhone Stuff section still gets the most set of search results. I first added these back in 2008 and since then never thought to update the source list, nor the firmware download links.
These have now been done and i’m hoping to see a steady increase of new visitors with the new sources and firmware links : ) fingers crossed! I have been meaning to update them for some time but it’s just one of those “Im gunna” and as we all know those “Im gunna Jobs” Never really seem to come around and you keep putting them to the back of your mind and before long its long forgotten about.
I created the sources last night and got together lots and lots of information together ready for me just to click the update button this morning, like this blog post, set to publish automatically : )
Check out the iPhone Stuff section if you want to view the sources for Cydia and the Firmware direct download links from Apple.
A more SIMPLER way to find a Wave ID
Just been searching through some forums and after my post “How to find a Google Wave ID” I seem to have found a more simpler way to do it.
It really is as simple as 1, 2, 3
❑ Add mywaveid@appspot.com to your contact list
❑ Create a new wave and add mywaveid@appspot.com to the wave
❑ mywaveid@appspot.com will then display the wave ID like the screenshot below

Didn’t like the idea of Google Wave Bots, but they are really fantastic! There is a bot for just about anything!
How to find a Google Wave ID

If you are for some reason wanting to find out the ID of a Google Wave then here is a simple way of doing so.
❑ Launch Google Wave
❑ Add embeddy@appspot.com to your contact list
❑ Create a new wave or an existing wave you want the ID of
❑ Add embeddy@appspot.com to the wave
After a while you should notice something like this appear:

As you can see it has added this to the wave, the code we are looking at here is !w+ILihkg26C << Drop the ! at the beginning and now we have the/your wave ID.
Hope this helps you out! Took me a while to figure it out but when you know how its pretty easy!
Testing embedding a Google wave into a WordPress blog post
You probably wont be able to see the wave you should see an error message, this is because unless you have a wavesandbox.com account it won’t show up properly
bummer!
Well if you do have one and can see the wave great stuff!

I am using the plugin Wavr for WordPress but currently is basically….useless for the time being.
All you need to do is download and install Wavr to your blog, activate the plugin and then you should the following when you go to create a new post from the admin panel:
![]()
As you can see there is a W which if you click you get the options about inserting a wave into your post, you don’t need to do this you can simply type [wave id=“waveidyouwanttodisplay”]
The options screen looks like this:

Decided to surprise my lovely wife
Being the old romantic that I am one of the good guys, one of the nice guys, one of the last few remaining I decided to send my lovely wife @eckafatcat a surprise to work.
Now me being me I always used to get her random sets of flowers delivered to work when she wasn’t expecting it and have done ever since we have been together, even before we were married.
I haven’t done this in a while and yesterday while sat at work I started to think that I should do it again.
I decided to order her 20 red roses and get them delivered to her work for today.
I was sat at work all day feeling on top of the world and in a really good mood compared to how I was yesterday, I was just sat there waiting for the phone call….at around 9am I got a text from the company saying they were dispatched…..I continued to wait.
I spoke to her a couple of times throughout the morning and nothing was mentioned…now they could have been delivered anywhere between 9am – 6pm so I just waited. I spoke to her around 11.50 and she was just getting ready to go home to see to the dogs like she does every day.
When she got back to work I received a call…..“Have you got something to tell me?” “Nope why?” “The conversation went on and got a big THANK YOU! : )
Here is a photo of the flowers : )
