Getting a really funny feeling about Android

android-logo-white.png

My day started as normal today, getting up and getting ready for work, collecting my things and making sure I have my iPhone with me and this is when things started to feel a little different.

Not quite sure what it is or why I am thinking like this, but I think…maybe just maybe I’m looking for a change, maybe I really want to go back to AndroidAndroidAndroid.

I had the G1 some time ago when it first got released and I ended up selling my iPhone 2G, it didn’t last long but it did have some really good features. Now I feel the same again as I did with the G1, I want to try it, use it, know how it works and see if there is any major improvements since I had it a couple of years ago, wondering if the G2 is much better than the G1 all these questions are just making me want to sell my iPhone 3G and replace it with a G2 or something else running Android. What to do? Do I do it? Dont I do it? Will I regret it? Will it be better than the iPhone? All these questions are just tempting me and pushing me away from the iPhone making me want to take the risk and find out for myself yet again.

My iPhone 3G is not on contract and is currently unlocked to the T-Mobile network, my contact with T-Mobile is up in March next year, so really if I change now and sell my iPhone 3G and buy an Android mobile with the money, if I don’t like it, I can always upgrade my handset in March and get another iPhone, maybe the 3GS?

Me being me I know what will happen, I will make the switch, hate it, be stuck with it until next year and then get an iPhone but no matter how much people try and talk me out of doing it / or tell me how much I should do this, either way I think my mind is made up.

I’ll spend tonight looking through what applications are available for Android and read up on reviews, it must have an excellent TwitterTwitterTwitter client such as Tweetietweetietweetie 2 which allows you to use custom URLS and also allow you to upload photos to custom URLS also. If that is the case then I can’t see why I wont have my iPhone 3G up for sale by this weekend.

It’s not that I don’t like Apple, I love Apple, Apple is my life but I’m just getting that taste in my mouth to try something completely different and unfortunately until I go through with this, the taste will always be there.

My New Apple Magic Mouse

After checking out all the new amazing products from Apple on the http://apple.com/uk website and watching the video of the new iMac, not only did the iMac 27“ have me drooling at the mouth like a child in a sweet shop but there was one other item that caught my attention very much so. The item is the new Magic Mouse from Apple.

Apple Magic Mouse

The same Multi-Touch technology first introduced on the revolutionary iPhone comes to the mouse. It’s called Magic Mouse, and it’s the world’s first Multi-Touch mouse. Click anywhere, scroll in any direction and swipe through images on its smooth, seamless top shell. It works wirelessly using BluetoothBluetoothBluetooth, so you don’t have to worry about cables or adapters cluttering your workspace. And built-in software lets you configure Magic Mouse any way you want.

The above is just a little about the new mouse, this certainly got me thinking of the wireless mighty mouse I have upstairs on my iMac and how much effort Apple has put into this new Magic Mouse.

For just £55 I believe this is a great price for such a fantastic piece of tech, I have just placed an order for one of these for my Macbook and should be here within 5 – 7 days. Photos to follow as soon as I receive the mouse from Apple.

A little bit more from Apple : )

The magic is in the Multi-Touch.

The new Magic Mouse redefines what a mouse should do. In addition to its smooth, seamless top-shell design that acts as one button or two, Magic Mouse features a Multi-Touch surface with gesture support. Scroll vertically, horizontally and diagonally — a full 360 degrees — simply by touching anywhere on the top surface. With a greater surface area for scrolling, you can get around a long timeline in iMovie, through a lengthy web page in SafariSafariSafari or around a set of images in iPhoto more efficiently. You can also swipe through pages in Safari or photos in iPhoto with two fingers. It’s the most advanced Apple mouse ever made.
