Tweetie working with Tweetpress

I have been using Brandon Trebitowski’s Tweetpress on my blog for about a month now, I first came across it while browsing the wordpress plugins with the tags twitter.

Up until the other day I have only been able to use Twittelator Pro with the Tweetpress plugin, Tweetpress comes as a standard option within TwittelatorTwittelatorTwittelator so it was really easy to configure. However I had a little trouble with Tweetie2.

This is what I did.

I Auto Upgraded the Tweetpress plugin

Installed Tweetie2 on my iPhone

Navigated to Settings within Tweetie2

Selected Image Service and clicked on custom

Entered my blog page URL like so : http://rhodzy.co.uk/index.php (this is not the location of the Tweetpress Gallery page, it must be the blog homepage)

Saved the settings and tried to post…

It errored, I had no idea why and started to get frustrated with it. I had checked all of the permissions on the folders and they were all ok, I checked the options within Tweetpress and they all looked ok, I have mine set to require user name and password, which were set, and also on my custom gallery page http://rhodzy.co.uk/tweeetphotos

After trying numerous settings and custom url settings I was just about to give up, not sure what prompted me to try what I did next but it certainly did the trick.

I went back into the Tweetpress settings and clicked on “Save Tweetpress Settings” and also “Save Twitter Settings” I had clicked these in previous versions and when upgraded the settings were still there, so after clicking these buttons again I once again tried Tweetie2.

Success it worked!

    Hi,

Just checked my permissions and the folder tweetpress that is located in the wp-content folder is set to 777. The actual wp-content/plugins/tweetpress folder and all files inside are set to 755.

    Hope this helps
